Who are we?
Well that's a bit of a long story.
We have been in the business of supporting and supplying retail shops, wholesalers and the general trade since 1989.
Customers tell us that they have always been very pleased with both the standard of our service combined with the high quality of our products and the low prices that we continue to offer them.

All of our fabulous products come direct from the manufacturer or distributor, we also source and import our own products direct from countries such as Italy and Germany, so we can sell to you directly.

Where are we?
We are based in the historic nautical city of Bristol only 5 minutes away from the main Temple Meads train station, Bristol city docks and harbour side. If you have not been here before, it is really worth a visit.
You might also like to combine a shopping trip or sight seeing visit with a trip to call in and collect anything you have ordered.

We own and occupy our own warehouse facility within a mile of the city centre and only a few miles from the main M4 and M5 motorways, allowing us very good access to the rest of the country.

Direct light Deliveries?
We work in close partnership with all our couriers to make sure that your purchase is delivered to you promptly and securely.
Our couriers allow us to track your delivery from our distribution centre direct to your door, giving both parties peace of mind.
If at the time you take delivery of your order and suspect in any way that it may be damaged - please sign the consignment (delivery note) "DAMAGED".
This will enable us to operate more efficiently and improve future services.

We also undertake local deliveries within a 45km radius of our distribution depot using our own transport fleet (oversized and high volume deliveries only).

Direct light damages/faulty goods?
If you receive damaged / faulty goods, I would like to personally apologise for the inconvenience caused and I will replace them or refund you in full.
Please call us on 0117 955 2223 immediately or within fourteen days after receiving your order to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number and instructions on how to return the goods to us.

Please note that damaged / faulty goods cannot be accepted without a returns authorisation number.

At directlight.co.uk we operate a 7-day NO QUIBBLE returns policy covering everything we sell as required under the distance selling regulations.

In the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase:

Please inform us in writing (by fax - 0117 9542487 - or email) within 7 days up on receipt of your order that
1. You wish to return your delivery within our No Quibble Guarantee period.
2. You have a received a damaged or faulty product and would like a replacement.
3. You have received a damaged ro faulty product and would like a refund.
4. Other - please specify.

The date of delivery will be as recorded by our carriers.

Products must be returned in their original packaging, along with any Free lamps or Gifts associated with this order (unless you are only returning part of your order).
Products should not have been fitted or modified, unless being returned due to the occurrence of a fault.

The cost of returning the goods and insuring them against loss or damage will be deducted from the refund of the purchase price if a collection has to be arranged by us using our carriers. Alternatively goods can be sent back by your own method of transportation.

For complete orders over £99 being returned, or if an item returned makes the new invoice value less than £99, the cost of carriage incurred for sending the goods out may be deducted from the refund. The current rate of carriage is £6.50 + VAT per parcel.

Your refund will be made within 14 days of return of the goods.

Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded in full in accordance with the UK Distance Selling Regulations. Damaged or broken glass doesn't constitute faulty goods and will be replaced as soon as available. We cannot be held liable for any costs incurred due to faulty goods or shortages such as electricians fees, time taken from place of employment etc. We reserve the right to refuse refunds for failure to meet any of the above criteria.

directlight customer details?
As we all hate being pestered by cold calling or uninvited mail shots by some companies desperate to claw every penny they can from us, by trying to sell us hot coals in the summer and ice in the middle of winter.

We only store your details for the shortest time possible to allow a transaction to take place, and we will never pass your details on to a third party for marketing purposes, unless you ask us to place you on our own limited database, which we will only be use when we have something important to tell you.
We will also remove you from our database immediately you instruct us to do so.
No questions asked. That’s a promise.

Direct light returns and refunds?
We hope that your order will be just what you wanted. But if you change your mind about our products you can return your order subject to our terms and conditions
Return the product(s) to us in perfect condition (unused and in it’s original packaging) within 14 days of receiving your order.

We recommend that you obtain a certificate of posting when you return your parcel. These are available free at the post office and will enable us to action your refund should your parcel be delayed or lost in the post.

Goods are returned at your own cost. Please note that the delivery charge on the original order is non-refundable.

We will write to confirm when your exchange or refund has been processed. Please allow up to 3 weeks during busy times.
